Looking for the GTA 6 map can send you toward three different things: Rockstar’s named places, a fan reconstruction, or the map poster listed in its collector merchandise box. They are useful for different reasons.
GTA VI is set in Vice City and the wider state of Leonida. Rockstar’s official place and artwork pages name six destinations. Those names give you a reliable starting point; they do not, by themselves, provide a complete road map, measured world size or travel times.
Here is where to find the confirmed material, and what the physical poster does—and does not—tell you about access to a full map.
Which GTA 6 locations are officially named?
Rockstar’s Only in Leonida page and official artwork index identify these six destinations:
Vice City.
Leonida Keys.
Grassrivers.
Port Gellhorn.
Ambrosia.
Mount Kalaga National Park.
Vice City is part of Leonida, rather than a name for the entire state. The six destinations are confirmed names, not a claim that these are every settlement, district or accessible place in the finished game.
The artwork page is particularly useful because it labels a postcard for each destination, including the full Mount Kalaga National Park name. That gives you an official route to the imagery without requiring a fan map’s labels to do the identifying.
Official place and media pages support named destinations and labelled imagery. The collector listing describes a physical poster containing a Leonida map and artwork. Fan maps are reconstructions, rather than Rockstar publications. None of those categories should automatically be treated as an inspected, complete, downloadable world map.
Where can you see the official imagery?
Use Rockstar’s screenshots page for its published screenshot collection and the artwork page for postcards and wallpapers. Choose the material you actually want: seeing a place, downloading artwork and navigating a world are separate tasks.
A labelled image can establish what Rockstar calls the pictured destination. It does not provide a scale or tell you the exact route to the next location. Likewise, a scene appearing in promotional material does not establish that every visible building or stretch of land will be freely accessible.
That is why this guide does not draw roads between the six names. A tidy diagram would be easy to mistake for confirmed geography, even if the lines were only there to make the page look finished.
What is the official Leonida map poster?
Rockstar’s Goodtime State – Vice City Collection lists a double-sided souvenir poster with a Leonida map and artwork. It is a physical item in a merchandise collection; the game is sold separately.
An announced map poster is not the same as a complete map that you can already inspect, download or navigate online. The product description establishes what is being offered. It does not establish that we have inspected every road on the finished poster or measured the playable world from it.
So avoid either shortcut: “there is no official map of any kind” is too broad for a product list that promises one, while “the full map has been released” goes beyond what that product promise proves.
How should you use fan maps?
Treat a fan reconstruction as a proposed arrangement of the world, and check the evidence behind any particular placement. Clear sourcing makes a reconstruction more useful; it does not turn it into an official Rockstar publication.
For confirmed names and downloadable promotional images, start with Rockstar. For an actual navigation question—how far two places are apart, which road connects them, or how long a trip takes—look for evidence that answers that exact question. Six official postcards are an invitation to explore Leonida, not yet directions for driving across it.
