The GTA 6 collector’s box contains sunglasses, a cap, a figure and a souvenir spoon. The thing you need to play GTA 6 is a separate purchase.
Rockstar’s official name is Grand Theft Auto VI: The Goodtime State – Vice City Collection. Its store listing explicitly says the game is sold separately. Treat it as a merchandise collection, rather than assuming “collector’s box” means a premium game edition with everything bundled together.
That distinction also separates it from the boxed Standard game, which contains a download code. One box is merchandise without the game. The other is a way to buy the game without a disc.
What is in the GTA 6 collector’s box?
The official product list has eleven entries:
Macca the Gator figure.
Oakley Frogskins sunglasses.
Leonida Keys crossbody bag.
New Era 9FORTY snapback hat.
Macca the Gator magnetic mirror.
Chunkee the Manatee shot glass.
Vice City collectible swizzle spoon.
Vice City razor-blade keychain.
Leonida Keys enamel pin set in a metal tin, with nine pins.
Leonida Keys sticker pack in a stash bag, with nine stickers.
Double-sided souvenir poster containing a Leonida map and artwork.
“Eleven entries” is the useful way to count it. The pin set and sticker pack each contain multiple pieces; this is not a claim that there are only eleven individual objects in the package.
The list is a description of what Rockstar is selling, not a hands-on assessment of the materials or finish. Photographs and brand names can help you decide whether the objects appeal to you. They cannot tell you whether you will like the sunglasses on your face or want the figure on your shelf a year from now.
Collector’s box, Standard and Ultimate are different purchases
Rockstar’s edition and version FAQ describes Standard as the game and Ultimate as the game plus its Ultimate extras. It also describes a separate Ultimate upgrade for Standard owners.
The physical game version contains a download code, with no disc included. A code-in-box game purchase therefore should not be confused with this merchandise box simply because both arrive in packaging.
Check the actual product name and entitlement before buying. Packaging and the word “Ultimate” do not make these purchases interchangeable.
Standard includes GTA VI. Ultimate includes GTA VI plus its Ultimate extras. The standalone Ultimate upgrade adds those extras and requires the game. The Goodtime State – Vice City Collection is a merchandise box with the game sold separately. The physical game version supplies a download code rather than a disc.
If your goal is simply to play, begin with the game listing. If your goal is additional in-game content, compare the actual edition entitlements. If you want the physical collection, add it to that decision as a separate merchandise expense.
Our Standard versus Ultimate comparison covers the game-edition choice in more detail. Buying the collector’s box does not resolve that choice for you.
How much does it cost?
The Rockstar page checked for this guide displayed $399.99 and said the item was not eligible for free shipping. That captured view did not establish the checkout currency or delivered total for a Canadian buyer. Check the actual local listing and checkout before treating a dollar label as a Canadian price.
Japan has a separately documented offer. Capcom’s original announcement lists ¥99,980 including tax, with a November 19 release. Its announced preorder opening was noon on October 30 in Japan’s local schedule. That is not a North American noon opening or evidence that every region has the same stock.
These are different regional offers, not a currency-conversion shopping calculation. A useful comparison would also need the seller’s actual destination rules, shipping charges and checkout terms. Converting the sticker price alone would leave much of the purchase unresolved.
Remember to budget for the game separately. The collector product’s headline price does not become the total cost of playing just because its name begins with Grand Theft Auto VI.
The decorative spoon has a practical catch
The official e-Capcom Japan specification identifies the spoon as decorative and says not to use it for food contact. For that listing, “swizzle spoon” should not be read as an instruction to stir a drink with it.
That is the sort of detail worth reading before a collection becomes household equipment. The attractive name describes the souvenir; the care instructions tell you how it is meant to be used. Follow the instructions supplied with your actual product.
The same Japanese listing includes a non-cancellable-product notice and per-person ordering restrictions. Those are terms of that regional offer. They are not a worldwide cancellation policy, and this guide does not transplant them onto a different seller or country.
Check stock and delivery separately
The Rockstar page showed both “Coming Soon” and preorder wording when checked on October 30. The Japanese retailer displayed a stock-unavailable marker. Neither observation establishes worldwide availability, and neither tells you when a particular order will reach your door.
A release date, an order being accepted and a parcel being delivered answer different questions. Use the current local retailer page for availability, then read the shipping information for your destination. Do not buy around an assumed launch-day arrival unless the seller actually offers that commitment.
For a final check, identify four things in the listing you are about to pay for: the exact merchandise product, the separate game entitlement you need, the currency and delivered total, and the local order and care terms.
The collector’s box can be a purchase for someone who wants those objects. Decide that on the contents and the actual terms—not on the expectation that a game must be hiding somewhere between the sunglasses and the spoon.
